You know, it’s never really struck me as that weird. Possibly because of the conceit of a movie set in the 40s that is meant to be campy. I wonder if I’d notice more if he was in a ‘serious’ movie as an American.
The American accent during the 40’s seem to have been a bit more rounded, the way I understand it, but it’s not really that either. It’s like… he has a British inflection, but he speaks American, and it makes me wince. It is entirely possible I just expect him to sound like Robert Downey Jr. and that’s why it sounds weird.

No. That doesn’t confuse me. And your doctor shouldn’t have said that even if he believed it. What people feel should never be invalidated simply because someone else doesn’t feel that way or know where those feelings come from.
He suggested that maybe instead of ADHD I had Aspergers since I’m such an oddball. I don’t care if I’m Aspie or not, but the more I think about the WAY that dude said things, the more annoyed I get.
